Old Towne Fredericksburg is the most wonderful little place. Historic, quaint, inviting….
I went out to find my lil’ Christmas doodad. I get a new one every year. I might have been a tad early this year, but there is a nip in the air. I want to bundle up in my favorite sweater and walk Caroline Street. That is just what I did today.
I then drove down river road and looked again at that incredible saltbox home. It’s been on the market for some time. Perhaps because it’s haunted; or maybe because it could possibly be under water for 2 months out of the year. Ah yes, the river can be unforgiving sometimes, but I would risk it. That house has my name on it. I have yet to get a picture of it that I like. I didn’t even try on this drive. I just looked – and smiled.
I live in the coolest little place
and Fall is here
And it’s not hot anymore
And the trees are putting on their best before they get naked
Pumpkins are for sale and people are thinking about Christmas
Everything has a bit of an orange or red hue
I love life so much at this time of the year

What??? You were in Fredericksburg and didn’t tell me???? You are so in trouble! By the way, I love the new look of your site.
ooops!!! You totally should have been there! That would have made the day! Now, an Old Towne insider told me the Christmas decorations go up on the 3rd (yippyyyy) We have GOT to go for tons of window shopping and cafe lunch.
